Book this Cottage. Gallery Woodcutters Cottage. Testimonials “This was the first year as a family that we didn’t spend Christmas at home. Woodcutters cottage provided the perfect setting for a relaxing break with absolutely everything catered for. It was very nicely decorated and was a brilliant home from home.   I made this gingerbread ‘woodcutter’s cabin’ this past winter. (Hurray, I can actually refer to winter as a thing of the past now!) The design is completely from Teresa Layman’s book, Gingerbread: Things to Make and Bake. This isn’t the first gingerbread house I’ve made, but Teresa was definitely the main inspiration of my gingerbread house making obsession.

CHRISTMAS IN THE TRENCHES (WITH CD), by John McCutcheon Set in the trenches during World War I, this story is based on a true event known as the Christmas Truce. In , British and German troops were dug into trenches in France, facing one another across the barbed wire and barren ground called No Man’s Land. The Tale of Three Trees is probably my favorite children's picture book EVER! The powerful message that God has a special plan for our lives permeates through the story of three trees that have dreams of what they want to be when they grow up. Years pass and eventually woodcutters come to their mountain.

The Woodcutter’s Christmas is one of my all time favorite books. I first read it in a bookstore. I started and couldn't put it down. I love the sweet romance between the woodcutter and the homeless woman.

The fate of the trees is a sad lesson and one of the reasons I use a good, old-fashioned, fake tree. My own copy of the book is now old and /5.

This book is about The Woodcutter, a being whose job is to watch over the woods and keep the peace between fae and mortals. The book borrowed a lot of material from various fairy tales (Snow White, Red Riding Hood, etc.).

The Woodcutter himself was a very noble character and I enjoyed reading his story/5(K). Woodcutter’s Wisdom and Other Favorite Stories.

I love stories. I love reading them, and better still, I love writing them. Stories help us understand biblical truths in a fresh way.

Life’s mishaps and horrors are only a page out of a grand book. We must be slow about drawing conclusions. We must reserve judgment on life’s storms. I’m going to tell you right now that the best part of this book is that the last page actually lights up with real-life lights.

Such a crowd pleaser. This cute Christmas board book also doubles as counting practice for the littlest niños, as el camioncito azul delivers Christmas trees (and cheer!) to his animal friends.
